PennWell Fire Group Product Center

The Firefighting & Rescue Product Center is a niche directory from PennWell Fire Group with a mission to specifically highlight the newest and best fire service and EMS products available on the market today. The task we had at hand was to combine two pre-existing websites into one easy to use modern looking site design. We had one outdated product directory (Product Center) and the other was a business directory (Buyer’s Guide) showcasing manufacturer listings.

Adding to the complexity we had data merges, image load with varying product dimensions, category restructuring, user account flow, custom reporting section, and visual redesign. Simply stated – we had a large task at hand to reengineer how the information was both loaded and maintained on the backend and displayed to visitors. The most important accomplishments we achieved was ease of navigation for logged in users and website administrators with an easy to control member management system. Now our visitors can easily find apparatus, fire equipment, and fire products for every use.
